Another update on the above clarifier/sterilizer...
The sterilizer was installed and secured on a wall. Pond hoses were clamped onto the adapters. The water is pumped from the pond in thru the mechanical filter, out to the sterilizer, back into the bio filter, then back into the pond thru the water fountain.
The engineering and design of this unit is pretty amazing. The caps are easily taken out or twisted back on tightly. ( The UV light bulb can be seen inside of the tube.) I got this unit installed and running without any problems...no leaks...no headaches.
The pond water becomes clearer. I can easily see fishies which lurk on the bottom of the pond to keep warm (50ish degrees in my necks of the wood right now).
