Pond plant problems

Honestly I believe it's lack of photosynthesis the last of heat lillies love full sun. Full sun brings in rich greens. A new shoot may get somewhat cooked and look purple/ red. Then as summer comes in they turn green .

The pond is in full sun... I understand new shoots are usually purple - but they stay purple the entire time and don't turn green.

When I googled "what turns pond plants purple" the result was that they are lacking phosphorus....that should be an easy fix...

My current thinking too - am going to try raising the phosphorus level. Thanks

Raising the pH won't have any adverse effects. Your acidic water can though. The beneficial bacteria will have a difficult time in that pH.
