I love old houses, they where built to last for generations.
So true. We are in the process of replacing the windows on our 25 year old house. My mom's house is 80 years old and has most of the original windows - they still look great. And as they pull our windows out, they are finding rotted framing - they weren't installed properly and water has been getting where it shouldn't. A tradesman who takes pride in his work is worth his/her weight in gold.

That must have been just awesome! Too bad I missed going to our local garden show last Sunday, had to work... I'm sure you had a good time, and it is always so nice to get outside and see everything up close!
