That is looking good sissy, great job! I need rocks to get my new shubbie tank moving, we are on pause for spending, between all that has happened the cc bill is way to high to buy rocks. (we pay it off every month) I may just put in piping that flows into the pond via a piece of well placed liner, then wait for the pretty work.

I was lucky with the rock but trying to keep costs down also since doing the work on the heat pump and the hot water heater .Tomorrows another day and it will get done eventually .The only thing that cost me money for this project was bought last year ,liner was 29.99 and tank I got 3 for 20 dollars(if I remember correctly ) and besides that was the new energy wise pump at 139 dollars and that was bought a month ago .So only cost for this year was just the pump and quilt batting .I went to the Eden flea market and got 3 rolls of king size quilt batting for 10 dollars ,so that was a real steal .Oh and forgot the case of peroxide my friend gets for the nursing home and she orders me a case .4 gallon bottles for 5 dollars .Tax bill is due and we are going up to NJ in May to cash in our rewards we got from Atlantic City and we have a lot of them .Plus we have 4 nights at the showboat for free and 2 dinner tickets for free .So figure we will use them up .I can go scavenge on the beach again .Plus we have friends there so visit them .

I love walking the beach, we see neat driftwood in florida, but darn hard to fly it home and usually when driving the car is full.
The beaches here don't seem to have much of anything except people.

I moved more dirt around the 55 gallon waterfall/sort of filter trying to get it ready to flow into the shubbie tank. Our big pond is 69 now, still did not get any of the fish out into the big pond, from the house tank.

Guess what! lol, found a shubbie in the deck pond, tough little sucker, spent the winter there by itself, cold frozen water no air flowing. I need to lower the water so I can catch it. Also have to block the path to behind the big rock, ow you can never catch it. A real pretty one, once I catch it, it will be heading into the 1000 gal tank.

you mean shubbie mommy .Shame on you shubbie abuse . :cheerful: That shows you just how strong some fish are though .Sometimes I think neglect makes them stronger.I got more weeding done but need a rest my back hurts .Soaking more lava rock and not sure what made me think there would be enough for this tank from the old tank .DUH  Lucky I still had a bag in the basement

It sure surprised me finding the lil one. It gets to join the others in the shubbie tank once I get it going. Soon I keep telling myself. One of my lilies bloomed! The bud came up a month ago, froze and still opened! I have not moved them out of the shubbie tank, my job today, get the lilies into the big pond.

Good going sissy on all the good stuff you got for good prices! You have fun in Atlantic city and hope you can get your pond all fixed up the way you want it soon so you can just sit and relax by it for awhile.

Addy neat that the fish made it through the winter under ice and all by his lonesome. He/she will be so happy to get back w/ its buddies. Poor fishy prolly thought all his friends got eaten up and he was the only survivor. He is gonna be p.o'd when he finds out all the other fish got to live inside w/ warmth and food all winter.

Great sissy! just baby him, he will do fine, I am sure you will take very good care of him.

Yeah the lil sucker, I went out to show it to hubby of course hiding, I have not seen it again since that first day. I know it is there, but it can hide behind that big rock in the deck tank.
I will need to stuff netting into the openings ot keep it from getting back there when I go to catch it.

My lilies have been making a few red leaves which I take to be due to the water temperature. Many of them have their roots in the bottom gunk which provides food for a month.

My lilies are putting up a lot of leaves, buds, getting ready to go crazy. I still have not moved them into the big pond.............get working on it and rains, blows, cold

Anything that can not survive winter here is not be replaced, bought worried about. Done with that.

I am hard on plants, honey just shakes his head when they seem to all survive. When we were digging up plants to move for the widened drive, I used the tractor bucket, scooped them up, dumped them on the hill, stomped on them, no care i.e. water mulch........they are all coming back gang busters.

Just don't have the time to baby things or the desire, except my honey and my lil gone missy.
