Pressurized filter before bog?

Hello all,

I recently built a small bog style filter to grow marginals and hoped it would clear the water up as well. So far it has grown some good looking plants but the water clarity is still poor. I think it's just too small.

If I plumbed in a pressurized filter with UV which then fed into the bog would that totally starve the bog plants of nutrients?
