This box has 270 lbs of epdm 45 mil pond liner in it. Yikes!

The smaller box contains the the stream bed liner and it only weighs 65 lbs.

I layed out the underlayment.

Though it doesn't look like much from here that long narrow piece of epdm on the far side of the hole is 269 lbs of 25 ft x 35 ft of liner. Here I have spread it all out, found the center line so to speak and folded the sides in towards the center. You can see I've aligned it with the center line of the pond in preparation for sliding it down the middle of the hole and ultimately unfolding it up the sides of the hole. What you see above was yesterday's work - today, barring injury, I should get that thing into the hole and spread out.

It's looking good @johnnyi can't wait to see it full of water with the stream flowing!

Thanks! As far as getting it running - you and me both. I really need to get this running so that the fish can be moved back into the pond from the stock tank. I can't imagine it is fun in that limited space. Getting it running is the first step. Getting all the rock in place will happen over months is my guess. Same with the plantings. Should be fun though.

I had a hand truck already for my liner and boy those things are heavy .The fun and hard to keep yourself in check starts now .I always have to slow my self down so I don't make mistakes that will cost me later .It is hard to do but well worth thinking things out .

Started fill this morning at 9:35am with a reading on the meter of 99.4 gal. As of 12:55pm we have a reading of of 1680.1 gal, so a net of 1580.7 gal in 3.3 hours. Have a ways to go.

You can see that if we sprang a leak the last pump would stop leaving about 1500 gal. Seems reasonable for now. I'll be turning 2 of the pumps on in the next hour or two. Can't turn on the one for the stock tank because our fish are in there. At least I'll be able to test whether I've dug the stream bed deep enough.
