Silly question... salamander ladder?

I see our resident salamander has a bit of trouble getting out of the pond since the liner is slippery.

Has anyone thought of installing some kind of ladder (or maybe rope) to allow easier in/out access for these cute amphibians?

I used to use a branch when I had my steel pond to let the squirrels climb out if they fell in. Rope or some rocks built up to the proper height would also work good.
