Maybe the temps will stay up Sissy, sure would be nice.
Finished shovelling a few inches of snow... more coming tonight... Local news is predicting 30s and 40s for us next week! I hope it sticks around this time. Even with good weather, I bet this snow wont be gone until April.
snow has a mind of it's own and so does the weather
well at least I can say i have yet to do that addy
lol Sissy, we have, before we got the tractor we had that winter of 09-10 60 inches of snow fell, a 200 foot long drive to shovel, we shoveled just a path wide enough to walk down
That's what we do now, just shovel paths everywhere if we get a big snow. Snow doesn't last that long anyways so paths are easier.
me to just a path to get mail ,I am not nuts yet maybe a little senile but not straight jacket nuts
30 block down to pond and funny thing they go under the liner to raise the sides of the pond up so can't even see the work i did back and forth back and forth .My neighbor told my hubby geeze I would not want to piss your wife off .She could beat the crap out of me .all that work and it does not even show .
They are doing their job for you and that's what counts
well figure out gallons of water in pond at this point 4 ft 3,142 gallons and next row of block will add 4 more inches up and then 2x10 on top of that and then liner on top of all that and then on top of liner my 2x12 board that finishes it all .Not sure when i will get bridge back on ,but sure want to get the filter running again .Tested the water in both stock tanks and so far all is good .Guessing now I am glad this all happened before summer got here .
today part of the retaining wall done by noon and tree fertilizer spike in time for a coffee break no snow left
Stop and have your coffee...............wish I had that much ambition right now. I'd sure love to be digging a bigger giant pond but my hubby would freakout big time...............I think...............I think I will mention it to him tho and see how he reacts. Maybe a pond about 5 or 6 thousand gals off the back deck.....................what ya think?
darn wall at the end I saw the stupid wave in it and will have to fix it .I knew I should have kept using the level.I think you hubby may pass out you tell him that jw .I am sure he has not forgotten all the work from the first 2 ponds
by my best guess this one when full 3,142 gallons At that is keeping it 6 inches below the top
Oh man sissy you have to take it all apart now? That'll teach you to use that darn level from now on. Hope it all goes easy and fast for ya so you can get Aggie and Bert into their new home soon
My hubby didn't do anything w/ my two ponds except go w/ me to get the rocks and help me carry the liner to the ponds. I did all the digging by hand and everything else. Well he did make me the waterfall basin out of stainless steel which turned out really nice
No I figured out now since I am going to put rocks on top of the wall I can cheat it .I can make it look OK .I would only have to take that section down .But because the rocks are pretty big I may be able ti hide it
Good to know sissy, cheat it, nobody will know and it won't other you down the road.
today rebuilt the waterfall and have the filter set up temporary
Getting closer to the finish line sissy. Hey do those dogs still come around your place...........the one's that mess w/ your pond?
