Skimmer advice requested

@Mmathis I will post a pic of my skimmer tomorrow, I set mine up so I can disconnect it from the pond without dropping my water level. With the leaves now falling I can really see the benefit of having one in the first place.

@420benz - here's our negative edge. The pond flows over the rock into the rain exchange. You can see the pump vault to the left of the gravel filled reservoir. Instead of the water being pulled toward the skimmer by the pump, it's pushed over the edge by the flow from the falls.

You. I saw the post before but could not find it again. As this is my first pond, I did not know if skimmers would crack in the winter months ,so I installed it in such away that I don't have to use it and can remove the pump if needed. Can't upload photos from this device, so I will show you tomorrow.
