this is a cell phone in a mason jar in the pond with a pondmaster 2400 mag pump.
i won't be waiting any longer to retrofit the pump to inline.
ewwww!

actually the pump is in a container and that must be vibrating a lot.
doh! sorry guys (i mean the fish...)
i'm going to do a couple sound tests with padding and just the pump.
i'll post some sound checks.
sorry for jumping to an inaccurate assumption.
interesting to me because i would like to know how much vibration amd noise the pump
causes in the pond. it's still coming out though...

i tried another recording with the pump resting on 2 inches of foam within this
container

and hung it in the pond.
then i did this sound test.

what was rather interesting was that when i
touched the mason jar that the camera was in to the surface of the water, i could
hear the vibration through the air and feel it in the glass.

tomorrow i want to see what it sounds like with the pump out of the container and when the pump is off to see what sound the stream might be adding.

i did a decibel check with the phone in the jar with the just the pump and no enclosure about 30 inches away
from the jar and the decibel level went from 20 to 45. it's hard to corelate this with anything.
it's not a direct reading, so it is not an accurate assessment of the actual noise level.
the vid has the sound of the pondmaster hanging in the water
about 30 inches from the jar.

and the pump is out of the pond. yay...
