Type of sealant for filter drain?

Putting together another filter and need to know what type of sealant to seal the shower drain to the plastic drum with. For got what its called. Was black if I remember.
I used aquarium silicon last time but was gonna use the other stuff.

PL brand 100% silicone..black construction grade

I used the black pl roofing sealant for a drain it worked great

What's the dry time before it can take pressure from a full barrel of water? 24 hrs?

remember if it is humid and hot the sealant may take longer to cure .I did a tank for friends the other day and it has not cured yet ,I guess it is just to hot here and way to humid .The tube I used was from lowes and says 24 hours and depends on temperature .It is still a little sticky feeling

I gave ours 24 hours, it was a 1/2 barrel and it did fine
