Howdy, Gang! Everything is waking up here! We are supposed to hit 90 at the end of next week. (Too hot for me!) I was thinking about trying some experiments in the wetland filter. I sprinkled some little basil seeds in the gravel near the edge, where the gravel is above the water level. Has anyone tried zucchini or tomato? I don't know if the roots would rot or if it would be sort of a hydroponic situation? It is a cheap experiment but I wondered if anyone on here has tried it? We have so much shade everywhere else, I thought this might be fun to play around with.

I may have to try a zucchini, I don't think my tomato did well tho. But watercress goes ballistic.

Theres only one problem with this idea . Proform c and otger parasitic control medications say right on the bottle do not use one food / fish ment for human consumtion. I believe proform c is a type of formaldahide.

I would think that most of us with bogs don't need any chemicals. ;) I tried tomatoes once, they didn't do so good. But they would probably do well now, since the pond is well established.
