Watch me grow...

I love taking pictures of my little patio pond throughout the season. It's remarkable how much things can grow in a few short months! It was slow going for the first part of summer - too cool - but these last two weeks of record heat has really got things growing. My lily even had two blooms on it at the same time for the first time ever. The only plant I bought for this little pond this year is the taro - everything else was thinned out from the big pond and bog.

How many fish do you have in it?

I'm embarrassed to say I don't know for sure! I know I caught three from the big pond at the start of the year, but then we had a few more go over board during spawning time and they got tossed in, too... maybe 5? Too many for sure, but they do great. Plus two frogs who have taken up residence this year.
