I've floated a half sheet of Rmax in the pond to shade it. Fish like the shady spot. ;)

Wow! How do we deal with this? I don’t see me having that problem but, ice down the pond? Just checked. 65F Pond 72 Air. Have any of you had to chill your pond. I can’t imagine in the 2000+ gallon range.

Salifert makes an oxygen test kit. Start there to see if there is a low oxygen concern.

Temperaturewise, goldfish and koi are ok to 30C/86F. Past that, it will cause them stress.

Anything a person can do to increase evaporation will cool down a pond - circulation, aeration and using a fan to blow across the surface (in lower humidity conditions).
Shading as mentioned above will help.
