Well we are frozen

How a few days make a difference. From almost no ice at all to all ice. Well everything is shut down and just the aeration now. You can see all the bird tracks, now the stream is off they go to the open holes now.

You have two nice holes opened up so that's good. Winter is here for some of you. We are sunny and a warm almost 50f. If I can't have snow I'll take the sunshine

Well a visit was unavoidable

That's way too cold for me. We have never ever gotten that cold. Coldest here was -6 and that was for just a few days. Long enough to freeze a pipe in our garage that led to the outside faucet. Did the same to all our neighbors. Same dumb builder who put the insulation on the pipes facing inside the garage but not the on the outside facing part of the wall. You don't insulate your wall from inside heat, you insulate if from the outside cold!
