Weather was great today. Sun was partly shining through the clouds off and on. While on my walk I was looking for the Wallaby but not a sign of her. Her name is Bella. I called the kangaroo farm and left a message asking if they needed help cuz I walk over 6 miles a day but they haven't called me back.

Dang, she is adorable. Wonder where a wallaby would hide??? They are very expensive to buy, or so my sister said. She had to fill out an application, come and bottle feed hers for over a month before she was allowed to take him home. Then, I think she went over the edge with needing to care for him. She even got him listed as a "service animal" to keep her from going insane! Yikes!!!

I was wondering the same thing. I bet she is used to buildings so she might hide in an open barn or shed. She's been sighted by the river, by a place that sells hay and someone swerved to miss her on the hwy and she rolled along the side of the road after that but got right up and hopped away.

Thankfully it is cold, refrigerator just died, (all food outside in coolers), still no hot water (honey trying to install an instant on propane one), but we did get three car batteries charged. We should have stayed in florida! lol

Why do these things always happen all at once? Look what happened w/sissy. I think everything was going out at her place awhile back.

Another nice day for January, we made it all the way up to 41 degrees Fahrenheit today!

Top pond all melted nice and I was out and about around the pond working, moving things around, when I noticed a cut in at the top edge of top pond. Liner is old now so this spring I will have to replace the liner in that pond. Will make it deeper then too.

yep it did and actually this is the best time for appliances to die .The stores are all having great sales now .Plus find out if your utility company gives rebates on new energy star appliances .Sorry to hear it but if it is going to happen better now than a 100 degree summer day where you have to buy ice too .Colleen at least it is your chance to redo your pond but it is a lot of work and not easy work either .It never is .Maybe you can get your nephew to give you hand

My electric company gives a rebate once you copy the receipt and send it to them .They don't care about the old one they just want you to buy an energy star one .We get 50 dollars for fridge 25 dollars for dishwasher and 40 dollars for ranges .With our electric company you just go online to look it up and copy and paste your receipt for your new one and fill out the form and the send it all to them .I am surprised more electric companies do not do this .i got 500 dollars from the for my new heat pump and 100 dollars for my hot water heater .Danville utilities in VA is a small utility company and if they can afford to do it then others should offer it .We also get rebates for insulation and windows and storm doors from them .

Wow after 9:30 pm and still 58 degrees .Just keep it up mother nature I love it.Look at GE fridges they are the only ones with a sealed compressor ,keeps you from having to clean it to keep the fridge working correctly .I love LED lights in mine as it makes it easier to find things because it is brighter ,plus the old bulbs gave off heat and made your fridge warmer when the door was open .

Look at GE fridges
Ours is a ge only around 5 years old. We did put a ge with the led lights in one of the places in florida. It is very nice.

Think then you can bundle your appliances and really get a even better deal .I have the whirlpool front loaders with the drawers underneath them and it is so great to not have to bend over to get the laundry out when you have a bad back .They are now 10 years old and not one single problem with .I had no luck with lg range they ended up taking it back and my sister got an lg fridge last year and ice makers has been replaced 3 times and now they are taking that back and her washing machine is not working again and is an lg that she bought at the same time .She bought the lg package deal and it has been a nightmare .

Since we are all obsessed (that's what my mom from AZ says about me) with the weather, thought I would start a thread so we could post what the weather is like in our neck of the woods. This winter has sure had some mild weather across the US. Yesterday I sat and admired my fish many times, it drew me outside. The pond water was 46 degrees at the surface.
This morning, the fog has rolled in, it's 31 degrees, and the moisture on my deck is ice. I'm concerned about black ice on the roads, so will be leaving for work early. Still supposed to be above normal in temps (40's for highs and 30 for lows) the next 10 days, and mostly sunshine. Who could ask for more for February?
So nice here in Yorkshire England it's -4*c dark all koi are layed on the bottom of the pond watching my two sturgeon doing laps they love the cold, im more like koi give me a hot day with temperature around 22*c any time lovely
