Bet they will get a good deal for the money they got to use in Virginia.

So nice and warm today. I bet it reached 60! Tried out my new Laguna 4280 GPH pump and looks like it will do fine for my falls. I couldn't hook it up yet to the falls tho cuz the adapter thingy is 1" on the end and so is my hose. I need to get a connecter to fit them together. For the test I just pushed a hose into the inside of the pump fitting and plugged it in to see how much would shoot out. Boy it did shoot out but by the time it swirls around into the waterfall chamber and up and over the lip down to the water it will be just what I want I think.

yeh but problem is I gave them my master bedroom and now she wants a his and hers bathrooms like mine and only way she is going to get that is build or order a modular home and buy land .I showed her my plan at norris homes that built mine and i gave them my plan but told them to look at the modular homes I looked at with my sister for 159 thousand but none of them has a his and hers bath and closets .But they are really nice homes .I have the 1 1/2 inch hose and started with a 1 1/4 inch hose but it uses less electric with the bigger hose .Gosh it is 7 pm and still 56 degrees.I just left the dogs out and it is so nice out .

Well since I have the really nice 1" hose I will just have to use that and make do w/ getting a connecter of some kind to hook it together. I want to get a connecter that fits over the outside of the hose and the quick connect thing. Maybe I should just get a larger piece of a hose to fit on the end of the smaller hose. I could use some kind of a clamp on thing around the hose to keep it on tight.

I went cheap and bought sump pump hose and have been using it for years now .The one hose I have on the 2400 gph pump is at least 8 or 9 years old and at 10 dollars I could not loose .That is the 1 1/4 inch hose and I use a stainless steel hose clamp

I'll get that stainless steel hose clamp and see how it works w/my 1" hose. If it doesn't seem good I may go get one of those sump pump hoses and hope they haven't gone up too much in price. Wait that would mean I would have to dig all up around my pond to get the old hose out. Not thinking I will be doing that so it will just have to work. The hose I have is a really heavy duty sucker.

I have mine run inside my pond and waterfall this way if it ever leaks the water will go right back into the pond .One less thing I have to worry about going wrong and with the luck I have been having the last couple of years ,it would probably happen to me

I didn't do mine that way and so far so good for 13yrs. I should move the pump up on something higher than the bottom as that way at least it wouldn't drain the whole pond. Maybe when I hook the new pump up permanent I will set it on the plant ledge. I think I'll still use my old pump attached to the pre-filter too. Two pumps running I know and more cost but oh well.
