51 here right now, not a cloud in the sky all day! The snow is melting fast and made the pond level go up a little bit...and I even spotted green things growing near the pond when I got home today.

55 here today, and the pond is 40 degrees.

55 today and sunny. More of the same and even warmer. Pond 2/3 open but water is murky and 40 degrees.

My pond is finally clear of ice and snow although there is still snow/ice around the edges in the pond area as well as the back yard. We have had a few days of 40 degree weather of course temperatures dropping to the 30s at night still. Was watching some of the fish swimming around last night. Looks like the submerged plants in the pond survived. I ordered a new filter for the pond and received it the other day. I'm getting excited to get it set up.

I wonder how does everyone here determine when to set or start their filters back up after the winter? Do you wait for a certain air temperature? Or water temperature?

I think this will be our last very sunny day for awhile much to my dismay. It will be up in the 60's today for our last hoorah.
Then tomorrow the rains come back and stay w/us off and on through the rest of the week.

I turned on my big huge aerator yesterday and the fish loved it!

56 and no rain today so far .Rained around 4 am and that was it ..Just bought a new uv for my neighbor on ebay 34 dollars and 3 extra bulbs 9 watt one .

darn nice weather out and I am sitting here waiting for insurance adjuster to call me right back .Right back was over an hour ago .My right back and his right back are not the same

I wonder how does everyone here determine when to set or start their filters back up after the winter? Do you wait for a certain air temperature? Or water temperature?

I never shut mine off, the soon the better in my opinion, cause the water can get very foul right after spring breakup.

Little Rio runs so fast she is hard to catch and put back in the truck!

Well it rained for 5 minutes and then stopped and insurance guy called problem is that he put on the papers 3 tab shingles and I have Architectural shingles .Now waiting for him to call back and it is a pretty 66 degrees out
