Woke to weather fog and drizzle, but now 52 and sunny. We've had quite a bit of rain for the last few days, so the pond is full. I hooked up the hose and let it splash into the pond for 20 minutes ( added dechlor) for a "gentle water change". The fish are lazily starting to move about and liked the splash of the hose.
I found one tiny dead koi fry, probably not even an inch, but that is all so far. My five big ones look good, I not no problems when observing them. Lots of free algae, but that is every year...it breaks apart and makes such a mess. I needed some, but am also hoping the fish start munching on it.
Glad to read about your aerator
@j.w , as I wasn't sure when to put my big one in. Guess I'll stick with the small one for now that's been running over the winter.
I also bailed out my container bog and picked out dead leaves etc. Let nice to be outside
