I’m so glad I’ve got cats to keep me warm! They are doing rolling blackouts in select areas, we could be one of the areas if it gets worse.

We are heading to 47 or so today, then back into the 30's for the rest of the week, then Boom up to 50 plus

More snow falling now. We were -16 last night.

I’m having my salad! Getting my veggies in, and roasting acorn squash to try a new meal idea for the guys.

I sneak squash into my home made chili into spaghetti, someone here does not like it. But never knows he eats it.

Since they’ll never read it, I snuck a little into chicken and dumplings! Next time I make it, I’m going to do an Italian sausage stuffing, top it with a good cheese, and try it like that.

Lazy day. For the last couple hours have been playing Charlie Parker too loud on the deck.
I have some "All day IPA" which is lower alcohol ale.
When it is cold and rain, birds need energy, so my feeders are overflow with critters including a squirrel. I even have a Towhee and a Sap Sucker today.
The lake is fogged over, so a nice look. Life is good !

Prancy keeps my lap warm. A fat Beagle would be better than a skinny cat, but I get by.

Hubbys dog has decided he likes my lap. Usually he only cuddles up like that if he has a new owie, or got his butt kicked out fighting, but the past few days, he’s taken to getting up in my lap on my seat to avoid puppies, and then today, with them out, he wanted to occupy my lap. My cats were not happy, he takes up most of the seat! I was covered in dog, ankle to hip, with his head hanging off the edge. You can’t talk in this picture, but he’s 3/4 husky, and what the other 1/4 is we don’t know, but he’s taller than his mom and dad, built more like he’s got Shepard or something in him, with out the extreme slope that German Shepherds are currently bred for. His son looks like he’s blond lab, his daughter looks like a golden retriever, another looks like a Belgian malinois, .... who knows what all is in the genetic mix, but the dad was full husky.
I’m so confused about our animals some times. My cat wants to play fetch with dead mice, the step-dog was making cat sounds, the step cat likes to wrestle the puppies. If my fish start flying and my bird tries to swim, I’m giving up!
