where to begin ????

Wife and I moved to a new house that has been vacant for more than a year. there is a small Y shapped fish pond (7 x 3 ft) that is full of algae and debrie...but has 4 healthy gold fish. there is what appears to be a waterfall that would flow into the foot of the Y, but there is no visible pump or filtration equipment. I'm guessing that its about 100 gals

Should I change the water...I have a well and would let the new water sit for a day or so...

What equip should I get...

If its well water you should be good to go on a water change. Do a 50% water change and find yourself a magnetic drive pump that will turn your water volume over @3-5 X an hour.
