Some here use Hydrogen peroxide. Not sure on the amounts but someone who does will chime in soon hopefully. I know @sissy here does.

I mostly use iy on the waterfall rocks when it gets to thick and redirects the water out of the pond .The chemicals they sell are a quick fix and will not solve the underlying problem .You may need to test your water and stop feeding the fish and like a bad child they will clean their own room .My fish are lucky if they get fed once a week and they are not starving to death .Aggie and bert are over 2 feet long and if fed more they would have gotten even bigger
