I need a five gallon bucket of anacharis.
Every two years, I load up from a neighbor, but she has now moved away.
I order online, but only receive 4 or 5 sprigs.
I'm in Baton Rouge, La.
Any advise is appreciated.

Thank you, Julir

It's illegal just about everywhere but it does grow here in certain bodies of water and I imagine it does where you live also. That said you might find it on Ebay but if you get caught w/it I don't know? Maybe try you local Nextdoor.com site online, join and see if any neighbors there will share. https://nextdoor.com

back when I had aquariums I got it at a local mom and pop fish store. I think they ordered it in. Maybe it's only illegal in ponds the connect to main waterways?

Look it up it's illegal to have no matter what in some states. I did not say if I have it or not and not going to say either :p

@Julie Bergeron I am wondering why you need to replace/renew your anacharis every 2 years…. I am in Shreveport, and mine grows like crazy. I put excess in compost and mix in with the soil in my turtle habitat.
