Anyone try shrimp in their pond?

I put probably < 200 over the course of a month that I had caught in a minnow trap in a irrigation canal here near Houston, Texas in my pond of approximately 1/8 acre. Some looked like ghost shrimp, some looked like prawns with one very long claw. A few weeks ago, I was dredging out massive mats of foxtail weed and there are now THOUSANDS of shrimp in the pond. I'm sure the sunfish love them.
