No kidding............. We usually stay in the slow to mid lane. Let the crazies whiz by us. We have the bubble mirrors installed on both side mirrors, sure makes it easy to see the traffic coming up and the blind spot

laughing! If you saw her with other dogs, she thinks she is the biggest baddest dog on the block.
She growls at airplanes, hot air balloons, helicopters, they don't belong in her air space.

Off again slow start, tthink only 400 or so miles today. We have ourselves a 5 day driving window.
Sorry for the east coasters all the rain, we are rain free. Yeah!

We need the rain and I love it ,plants are happy and it is cooler and the trees are happy .As long as it not snow or frost i don't mind .

The rain is totally missing our house, we could use it to. Last look, zero rain fall.

We made it past Oklahoma City, we were thinking of stopping before than remembered rush hour traffic on a Monday morning that we would hit perfectly, so kept going. Around 995 or so to go.
So far beautiful empty, good traffic driving, making great time, roads now are all 75 mph!

And we made a tiny wrong turn ended up going right by the arch, this is drive by shooting.......via a camera

Empty of traffic, wide open beautiful roads in Oklahoma (past the city), Texas, New Mexico. 75 mph made great time. Horrible side winds but other than that perfect driving. No storms.

In Arizona tomorrow, then the work begins.

I totally forgot how nice non crowded empty of traffic roads are. You do not have that on the east coast, esp near DC. And 75 mph, no rain, just a bit of wind, wide open cruising along driving. We are able to put in a lot of miles without a ton of effort. Except...........honey was not watching the gas gauge, in the middle of new mexico, nothing nothing nothing coming up and the car dings! I need gas! Luckily we crested a hill and saw in the distance a phillips 66 sign, the gps was saying no gas for 50 miles.................whew!

We have been staying in best western plus hotels, they are darn nice, 6-20 bucks for the pup, clean, great breakfast. This one has a sit down breakfast, the others buffets.
