jw;

love the plants and it does seem like you're already into summer. You have a nice variety, as your pictures show. I too have peonies and they do great in the sun; I wasn't even aware they liked any shade at all. One fact I was told is that once you disturb peonies, they take a bit to rebloom, and that they don't like to be planted very deep.

Btw, be careful of that Laburnum because in case you weren't aware, all parts of the tree are poisonous. Wiki link confirms what I always thought about the Golden Chain.

The peonies need at least 6 to 8 hours of sun but they do OK in some shade also .I didn't mean they needed lots of shade SORRY .I have a yellow one but it is new and won't bloom for another 2 years at least .They do need to be protected from harsh winds and they need ants to help the flowers open .

Ok good on the Peony's allowed in sunshine and we do have plenty of ants and I promise not to eat the Golden Chain tree. Don't have little kids living here or dogs, and cats won't bother it. Thanks for the warning and guess it would not be a good tree to have near a pond.

More blooms popping up everyday. Had to capture them before they all disappear.

More blooms on the Golden Chain Tree.
Hey this thing may be poisonous but how come the deer ate a bunch of it last year. Are they immune or maybe just not to swift?

And darn look what the loggers are doing to our mountain beside us. This better not mean a future mudslide!
It's less than a mile away as the crow flies :(

Yep they are raping and pillaging our trees. At least they do replant when they get done.

Geez my cattails are maybe 5 inches tall, they just started growing. Actually thought they all died. You are way ahead of me jw.

Only on a few things addy. You have tons of stuff in bloom. This is the first year they got heads. I think you sent them to me one year.

Michey I looked out there not too long ago and mine were just short little things too and all of a sudden now they have heads!
