I just got some Koi and added them to my pond 4 days ago with the goldfish that I have had for 2 years. They look good from above but with the gopro in the pond not so good. The fish are active and are feeding well. They have eaten most of the algea growing on the bottom but when I took a video of them in the water they dont look well. Are there scales just damaged from being caught and roughed up or is there something more..Water tests are all fine . I noticed that the goldfish look good on the scales but they look fat or ready to spawn is theis a related problem?

Thanks for the help. Don't see the scales from the top and they are active. Now I dont have to worry. Never heard of diotsu scales.

Doitsu koi have smooth skin with a row of irregular scales down the back. I've also heard them called dragon scaled koi.
