well as we are getting deep into springtime here, the blanket weed is booming, most of it in the pond i just pull out with my hand, but in the bio/veggie filter the blanket weed has formed well a blanket all over the surface of the stone chippings, and is showing to be very effective at filtering the water, as a result i have never seen my pond water so crystal clear since i first filled it, hoooray for blanket weed,

yes they will be fine sissy, and they help to remove nitrates and metals from the water, mine are growing well and they are just bare rooted into the gravel/stones

ohhhhhhhh, a black one sounds cool..............I've only got the yellow ones stuck in-between the rocks in the water around my pond and they are coming up now also. I love the way the roots which are fine and hairy float across the water. The roots look like some cool separate water plant. Seems like a good place for fry to hide
