I'm tired of fighting green water and water fall leaks. So I thinking of going to a bog. The problem is I don't know much about them. Are there any links that show the basics? Like size for 1000 gal pond,depth of bog and plumbing. Not looking to compare filters to bogs just wanting advice on bogs. Tell me a little about your experiences.

I'm going to be installing a roughly 1000g pond soon and my bog size will be around 5'x5' or 4'x4' depending on space.

That is all I use for me works great, best if around 1/4 the surface size of your pond.

I just finished my container bog, so only time will tell how it works. Definitely read the link above, it lists all the information you need to size and build one.
