Breeze block wall sufficient?

Hi, I’m planning on building a pond in my garden approx 5ftx3ft and 3ft deep With half dug in and half out. Due to the space I have I was wondering if using breeze block upright to save space would be sufficient. Thanks

Sorry Mate not a clue what A Breeze block is are you talking cinder blocks? 16"x8"x8"

What is breeze block?

Can you post a picture of the area you are planning for and any design plans you’ve made up? Might help us better be able to help you.

Breeze block is just a concrete block 100mm width 215mm height and 440mm length. I heard these should be laid flat on their face side to increase strength but wondering if I could get away with these up right.

My pond is 24” deep, blocks are 18”. They are set about 6” above ground, back filled, and the pond bottom is dug down an addition 6” below the block. I used construction foam where there were large gaps between the blocks that would face the liner. The kidney shape was a mistake though, wish I had made the back side the same as the front
