The pump will be for my 100ft stream and since I don’t want waterfalls in the pond where my lotus will be because they resent water movement, I was wondering if a pump underwater would be ok for the lotuses. Just letting you know I will have another basin 100ft across where the stream movement starts(not necessarily a waterfall, not interested in that) and the lotus pond is the other basin for the stream to flow into. I will dig the pond big enough in a way the lotuses could be further back and not have to be directly impacted by the stream movement. Will this work?

I think it should work. I had a small fountain in with my lotus the first few years. They are not as picky about water movement as waterlilies are.
