So Besides getting it by the .75 cubic foot bag at the store for $24 , I can’t get round pea gravel. What is available where I live it fractured 3/8 they call pea gravel. In fact all is fractured basalt, but I can also get lava rock.

Do what to do? I have an overlay over all so do I get the 3/8 for the bog and my backfilling behind the rocks? Do I get the cinders as they have a rounder profile? Is the liner really at risk? Is setting fractured rick the end of the world for a bog?

Not sure about using the fractured gravel but I would avoid using lava rock. It is very sharp and will clog quickly in a bog. I used some in my stocktank bog and when it started leaking, I had to dig it out. Tore up my hands and it was completely plugged with mud.
