Clear at night, crappy during the day

@Meyer Jordan I'm having the same [I guess] problem but it's only with my QT, and this is the first time ever that I've had the floating stuff.

I want to know a little more about "P", which I assume is phosphates, but I'm going to start another thread with that in the title. I hate it when a perfectly good explanation gets lost in a thread, then you can never find it again -- or at least I can't. AND, I don't want to hi-jack T's thread.

So I got a few pictures to just show what I'm talking about. I know I need to test the water but this is in the morning, and then when I get home from work. As you can see, the water stays clear, not algae soupy green just snotty.

That looks like floating algae. I used to have it too. Comes up in the heat of the day and dies down at night. Mine went away after I added an aerator.
