I got mine at Harbor Freight for under $10

I got mine at a farm after having a coupla drinks in the barn. Jumped the farmer and stole his gloves. It was only after I got home and sobered up that I realized I was the proud new owner of a pregnant cow......

I didn't cut mine back last year. They were purple, when the ice went out. They turned green in May, and I had lots of nice blossoms early. It was a cold winter too. -35 F a few nights. Do they need to be cut don?

I do it because the leaves, buds do die (the ones on the surface) they add to the decaying debris in the pond, which is hard on the pond over winter. I leave all the small buds, small leaves alone.

Taking the boat out? How big is your pond? How steep is the ramp?
