Welcome to our group!
Some of the more knowledgeable about Disease of fish will chime about your fish.

It will help if you can post your water test readings, ph, ammonia etc.

A picture isn't enough info,it looks just like any other dead fish really. How are your water tests numbers in exact figures? How old is the pond, what size?

It is hard to tell from the picture. Post your water test parameters. It looks like it could have been a predator that killed your fish. Have you had any problems with predators in the past?

Hi @Jkpond and welcome to the forum nice to have you join us .
Looking at your goldfish it had good colouration , it looks to be in otherwise good condition, sadly we most probably will never know as we dont have certain information or observations from you ? .
We need your water perameters [Ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrate, Ph , Kh an Gh ] ?
First off how long have you had the fish nd did you put it through Qaurentine prior to it going into your pond , have you introduced any new fish again did you Quarentine them ?
How was your fish acting prior to it dying i;e was it rubbing against things , had clamped fins, not eating bloodshot finnage etc .?
Only then can we make an educated guess as to your fishes demise

Dave
