DIY Bottom Drain

Has anyone made a DIY Bottom Drain without cutting there liner? When i done my pond i didnt put a botton drain in,and now i wished i had of. But i have heared of people doing these DIY Bottom Drains.

No I don't have it in my ponds. I have installed a few and sold quite a few.

The only problem with retros the hose wants to float if you don't use a weighted hose.

I put a bottom drain in when I built my pond and plumbed it into a settling chamber. The down side of the drain you are looking at, is it needs a pump hooked up the the plumbing and if you spring a leak, you could drain your entire pond. My lowest pump is 18", so if ever anything happens, I'll only lose 18" of water.
