If there is just a brick wall between the bog and pond, letting little bits of water through the cracks, does that work, or does it work best to have the wall between seals and have a waterfall flow over the top?

Over the top is ideal that way the water is one directional going up and has the full foot or more of going through the stone. A permeal wall works too but . i know where your thinking can i just have the one liner and build the wall between separating and the answer is yes but it creates its own challenge as you need to make the wall study enough to hold the stone the water weight will be less but it will be harder to build it for a water fall. hardly impossible just different checks and balance
