An effective plant for shading and extracting fertility from a green algae pond, use spare Azolla as a mulch around droughted plants.

Nicknamed 'fairy moss' for its tiny size and quite stunning ability to adopt different colours through the season, from a soft ferny light green to a stunning orange and crimson colour when the plant is stressed as autumn arrives.


This is a fast growing plant useful for its ability to shade water and for turning surplus water fertility into plant growth, easy to dispose of as a useful mulch when there is a surplus

remember fairy moss sinks to the bottom in the winter and then when spring comes I see mine coming back for 3 years straight now .Well as long as I protect it from fish eating it

I have mine growing in 2 stock tanks and no biggy they just come back
