Flexible PVC with PVC solid pipe

I am building a pond with a winding stream about 45 feet long. I will need about 60 feet of piping total but about 45 feet of that is a straight run. Is there any reason I don't want to use a combination of flexible PVC and "normal" white PVC solid pipe? I'm just trying to shave some cost since the solid pipe is a lot less expensive. I am using 1.5 inch pipe. Thanks.

No reason at all not to use both types. Just be sure that any unions are secure and watertight.
