Golden Orfe - Abnormal Growth on head.

I have 3 golden orfe over 20 years old but one of them has developed a round red growth on its upper snout. It has been growing in size and is almost the size of a ping pong ball now but the fish seems to be feeding normally. Should I destroy it?

Are you comfortable sedating and removing such a growth? A friend of mine removed a SMALL growth on her koi the other day, and the procedure went well.

If you're not comfortable removing it, then I wouldn't euthanize the fish, until you observe the growth has become a problem for it.
