Golden Orfe strange lump

Hi everyone,

I have a golden orfe in my pond. I noticed a flattish lump about five months ago. I treated the water with something for ulcers after describing it to someone over the phone. The lump then changed to something which looked more like a tumour and I e-mailed pictures to them and they said it was indeed a tumour. I was told the fish wasn't in pain and to leave it alone, as it is still eating and swimming okay.

The lump has changed again though.

I have attached two pictures, the first being the one I showed to someone who said it was a tumor and the second one shows the fish as it is now.

If anyone knows what this is or have seen it before, please can you let me know.

I would almost wonder if that is something that is more likely in the UK, I've never seen anything like that before in any book or in real life. Looks nasty! I wish I could help, but this looks like something that would be best looked into more locally.
