No you still have one pond, you didn't understand what I said then.
If you have the little waterfall separating the main 2 parts of the indoor outdoor pond, then you have the glass lowered into the water 3" away from the waterfall and 4" down.
its not a separate system idk where you got that from lol

its not a separate system idk where you got that from lol

If you have two (2) separate basins, which in your design you would have, then you have twp (2) separate ponds. They may be served by a common pump and common biofiltration but they are considered separate and because one is isolated indoors and one outdoors, quite different plant and animal diversity.

The Great Lakes are interconnected. Does that make them one lake?
This is a small pond, not the great lakes.
All the oceans, are considered "the ocean" to everyday people
"lets go to the ocean"
"can we go to the beach?"

Not mine but this is an indoor/outdoor pond. I found it interesting that the owner said his fish hid from predators by going inside.
