I'm thinking they may. My Cooper Hawks hang out over and near my pond on a daily basis, but not seen a fish caught. My fish are nowhere to be seen as of last week but, I think they are hiding. I don't believe I have any other predators so if one comes up missing I will suspect it was the hawk.
