We had to reclaim some land to enable our pond to fit.
We did this reusing 5 ton of soil and rocks until we had enough height.
We decided we needed more space so a retaining wall was biuld using breeze blocks we added drainholes into the wall
We then back filled useing the 5 ton of soil and rock .
We have now in fact built space enough for me to walk around that side of the pond, and at the same time created a disability garden for Val.
Being at waist height, Val now has a garden she can grow and tend to without having to employ a gardener all the time.
We used gravel laid over the the anti weed defences this als acts as a extra security feature to detial burgulars because it cant be walked on without making a noise.
Weve also used the space created to instal our Qaurentine unit and plumb direct to drain, we can also use gravity when adding water from the pond to top up the unit of 350 gallons UK.
This way nothing goes to waste obviously we'll buy some top soil to go above the rubble/soil we may even turn a dumppy bag as a veg plot.
