I am glad it is downgraded but gosh hope it speeds up and gets out of there fast because they are saying it is moving really slow and that could cause more flooding .MOVE FASTER STORM MOVE FASTER .did everyone remember to check there gutters and put downspout extenders on .Get the water away from your home .

Came in for a break from moving things in from outside. Right now a beautiful hot sunny day. How deceiving.

Everyone stay safe from that wild storm, glad it was downgraded but still be careful and be on guard.

yet thats the thing the calm before the storm and just wish it would move faster because the slower it goes the more rain you will get and it keeps going up and down in strength

Absolutely gorgeous. Water feature in first photo is very interesting. Good luck with the storm. You must be getting some of it by now.

The winds are really starting to pick up here, still only seen some very light rain at this point. I went out and took pictures around the property too before the storm comes in. A big gust came in right as I took this pic and it as you can see it even lifted the lily leaves off the pond. These two pics were taken just avfew seconds apart. Good Luck Gary, looks like its headed more your way!

remember pics always help your insurance company judge damages and give you the proper compensation .I took pics of every item in my house and every room and made copies and then took pics of the out side and did the same and put some copies in a safety deposit box and insurance company actually wanted copies and have some even at a lawyers office .I even put all my insurance policies and important papers on digital copies .It is worth the work and price to know you are covered and have all the info on hand if you loose the originals .

We just had our first heavy band of weather pass by. Heavy rain and wind about 30-40 mph. It's supposed to get worse and stay that way for 24 hours or more.

Well here is live south La. update, weather is going downhill fast. Winds have picked up to about 40 mph, rain has started but not bad yet. Already sustained our first damage. The winds ripped into the new gates, tore all the latches to pieces and bent one hinge pretty bad. The wife and I went out and completely took the gates down and layed them flat on the ground and stacked bags of dirt and sand to hold them down. Each time there is a break I take a walk around to check things out. be surprised how much you miss until it all starts flying around, Just saw my $125 sock net go flying across the yard. Going to be a LONG night!

I've been tying down plants that are too big to move. The ficus that is rooted into the pond in the greenhouse is 10 feet tall.
