I know I've posted before but I recently made some changes to my indoor water garden.

Added a lighted fogger.

The fountain looks cool with the fog around it.

Added a thermometer to monitor the temperature.

And a heater to regulate the temperature.

What so you have inside the indoor water garden?
Nothing right now. I purchased some more Mimosa Pudica. (Sensitive Plants) I'm going to grow those in pots on the side. I think I'm going to make another run to Water Gardens Galore in Dallas for more plants. Particularly Frog Bit and Parrot Feather. May also pick up some Azolla as well.

My dad has some Neon Tetras that will also go into the container. May get some snails too.

The fountain pump has a low voltage pig tail for a small light. I'm going to see if there are any UV bulbs that are rated for the voltage output. Want to build a small UV clarifyer for the filtration chamber. As y'all can see the algae can get pretty bad. Worse comes to worse I'll buy a fish tank UV clarifyer at Petsmart.

Got the indoor water garden back up but I'm not as satisfied as I should be. Of course when am I ever :) . The Umbrella Palm dwarfs the whole system and it does look nice but I guess now I'm hungering for a bigger system. At some point I'll be headed to the container store to buy 2x 39 x 20 vinyl storage containers for a bigger system. I'm also looking at Fluval aquarium filters at Petsmart to integrate into the system as you can see by the photos the water is pretty murky. My plans are to raise some tropical fish in this over the winter.

P.S. if anyone has any tropical plants that won't survive winter I'll be happy to take them. At least those that aren't too tall. No Water Hyacinth or Water Lettuce as they are illegal in Texas. Darn laws.

Brought in some plants from the pond. Most plants would have survived winter but I wanted to occupy the empty space. I think it looks nice.
