After seeing the wonderful chipmunk drinking, I had to post this one, but didn't want to steal RobAmy's post!
This red breasted nuthatch had just tipped it's head back and swallowed. It was just after sunrise and the sun poked through a hole in the brush to light the bird and not much else! I have a couple blinds set up along my ponds and stream, and sat there for about 45 minutes to get this one. Of course, lots of birds came and went, this one is just a bit more special!
