Found pictures of my first pond around 1999. An all cement pond roughly 900 gallons with a working mill house built from scratch. All feeder goldfish.

Very nice, it is fun to look back at the first and see where you have gone to with your pond.

We outgrew our house. Moved from Bothell to Lake Stevens. And to think, from a 900 gallon cement pond to a 5000 liner pond. And all feeder goldfish to huge Koi.

It was and never thought to keep it and use it for plants .I was a dummy and took it out .I guess you live and learn .While kougs when you step up you go big ,bigger or is that biggest .Gosh glad I did not have to dig that hole ,I would still be under the liner trying to get it in place .

Yep is fun to see old pics of first ponds and see the things that you do different now and learned from it all. I learned not to put one over the septic pipes even tho no problems. Was just kind of weird cuz when dug all that dirt out and found that big round long pipe I had to decide what to do. I left mounded dirt over the pipe for protection but just put the liner over the pipe and there was a big hill all along where the pipe ran separating two pools in that pond. After a few yrs decided the worrying about what could happen was not worth it so dug it all up and moved it to safer ground. Think it was about 2001 when put this first one in.

Our septic line runs right under the large ponds waterfall, buried under dirt liner and rock. The tank it self is the edge of the last pond in the stream. Have a large white rock marking the opening to the tank. Luckily I dig slow, that is how we found our lines and tank, back hoe hitting something different than dirt.
