Here are the most recent pictures of my pond - I'm still having water issues but I just ordered a 40w UV light and we've done one partial water change.

Has anyone encountered an issue with water coming from a water conditioner? We have a whole house water conditioner because our well water is so full of iron. We just recently incorporated the outside spigot into the water conditioner and it seems like it has affected the water in the pond.

We've had green water before but never like this - not to the point where nothing will clear it up. We suspect that the water conditioner is playing a part in the water not being clear this year.

it looks like it's in full sun, if so green water or the dreaded blanketweed will be a problem, from the picture it would look amazing with a pergola over it, and i think you would notice the difference, i had the same problem and i've got 2 pumps, 3 filters a small veggie filter and 4 uvc's but since i built one over mine it looks really good, what ever you decide to do lets hope you can get it sorted.

I know all of you have been very curious to know what ever became of my green, cloudy, murky pond (well, I'd like to THINK that all of you were really concerned. :nananananana:)

Drum roll, please! Here is the "after pond" thanks to a 40w UV light that we put in about 4 days ago! We still haven't figured out how to work it into the current configuration but we are giving it lots of thought! We had to get the pond clear just to see where we could put it - it has been a life saver!

We are sooooooooooo happy with our pond now! Finally, we can get the full enjoyment out of it - and the fish seem really happy, too!

Thanks, Addy! I was just kidding - I like a happy ending to a story and this one is mine!

I know, I love happy endings too, so glad you got it fixed. It is frustrating. My happy ending will be when we have water flowing..........it will take lot's of time to be done tweaking this project.
