Exactly my thoughts, let's hope no herons visit either of our ponds.

Don't trust them, we are in rural farm land, never thought herons lived anywhere near until they started coming every day and snacking on the fish. Took a few years of different deterrent methods to finally win the stay away heron battle.
They fly over our pond almost every day, morning and night.
